How many kids visit the Archive...? I happen to be a child (14) and I tell all my friends to visit. I sort of agree that things like snuff films should be removed. Mainly because it serves no purpose on the internet archive (as far as I can tell)
If this video was on any other public video site (such as youtube or the like) it would be removed immediately without question.
...but that's just my opinion.

Wikipedia definition...

"A snuff movie is a motion picture genre that depicts the actual death or murder of a person or people, without the aid of special effects, for the express purpose of distribution and entertainment or financial exploitation. For-profit snuff films are generally regarded as an urban legend, whose persistence demonstrates more about our anxieties than the reality of such films being made."

The video under discussion is not a "snuff" film but rather a record of a political/religious act.

Again, it is the visual representation of a horrendous act that disturbs people. Enter key words like "suicide, gore, death, executions, etc" into Google's image search engine and observe what is displayed. And I believe that Google video still offers for viewing Ruggero Deodato's "Cannibal Holocaust" where human violence and real animal cruelty is depicted.

Again, there are no statistics that provide the chronological age of Internet Archive viewers...thus, no conclusion can be drawn regarding child participation.

Again, if the description and video still clips offend you, don't watch it. Remember that the Internet Archives is a repository of all sorts of free material to be accessed by the discretion of the participant for the purposes of entertainment and scholarly research.

I find it extremely difficult to use the jihadist videos for masturbatory purposes so I would argue against that. Although I have also referred to them as snuff in the past, but only to infuriate and/or amuse myself.

" I happen to be a child (14)"

No offence, but you have a lot to learn about life if you think that censorship is in any way positive. While the video in question is indeed vile, it's flagged as such and the comments below clearly state what the content is. This should be enough for any intelligent human being to make a judgement as to whether or not they want to see it - that decision should not be made by somebody else on your behalf. Time to grow up if you don't understand that.

By the way, when I was your age, I was watching Faces Of Death, Cannibal Holocaust and other movies, purely because they were banned in my country (UK), and that was back in the days when VHS was the only way to get them. When word gets round that films are being banned from a forum like this, it actually causes people to seek them out. Censorship is not only not a positive thing, it's utterly ineffective.

I was hoping derkman96's age statement would be ignored, but since it has come up again I suggest some copyright fact checker do this. Run a search of derkman96 forum posts and review the comments. Then follow the music links to band photos. That may help determine the age of the poster.
And don't censor the small amount of information that we can get from IA. Translate what the videos are saying and cringe.

PS, I'm old and have a grey beard. The R stands for radio. If you need to know how to wind a coil for you crystal set, I'm your guy.

I looked at derkman96's post history and it might seem too obvious, but the common meaning to a number in someone's user name is birth year. '96 checks out for either 14 or 15 years old (depending on birth month.)

It is not unusual for a person of that age to be interested in material from the past. I know that 15 years ago when I was 14, I couldn't be bothered with much of the new stuff that was being made and mostly listened to old music and watched old movies.
